Micro range of Constant Current Regulators (CCRs) are recognised as one of the most advanced products on the market. The Micro 100 and Micro 200 CCR contributes to a reduction in maintenance due to its high reliability.
The Vardhman airports Micro 200 CCR, utilizing IGBT H bridge technology, is specifically designed to provide a sinusoidal waveform power source to lighting circuits containing both LED and conventional lighting fixtures, plus other electronic devices. This Constant Current Regulator is fitted with state of the art electronics that monitor and adjust the output waveform many times per second to produce a sinusoidal output. This leads to superior responses to load changes and circuit switching, improved protection against overcurrent or open circuit fault conditions whilst delivering superior power factors without compromising on a minimised harmonic content.
The Micro 100 Constant current regulator is a microprocessor controlled unit integrating a high speed control and protection loop. The control system drives a pair of power thyristors providing phase angle control to the series circuit.
These units can be operated by the airfield lighting control and monitoring system via various methods. The standard was to use hard wire control but in an era of modern technology, Profibus, JBUS, Ethernet TCI/IP can be supplied.
On both CCR’s a huge range of information can be seen without the need of a laptop or other device, thanks to the front mounted display.
